Mobile x-rays are one of PMD's most commonly requested services. PMD's digital x-rays possess numerous advantages over traditional film x-rays. Mobile x-rays are relatively quick and convenient to perform and can be viewed remotely by your doctor on a computer, tablet or smart phone. All of PMD's x-rays are interpreted by board-certified radiologists.
PMD sonographers perform ultrasounds and echocardiograms to investigate a variety of conditions including renal, abdominal, and vascular (carotid artery, arterial, peripheral vascular disease, venous insufficiency, and screenings for abdominal aortic aneurysm, deep venous thrombosis) conditions, and more.
We provide bedside Electrogcardiogram (EKG) services with interpretation.
An electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) is a test that checks for problems with the electrical activity of the heart. An EKG translates the heart's electrical activity into line tracings on paper.
A Holter monitor is a small, wearable device that records a person's heart rhythm – usually over a period of 24 to 72 hours. A Holter monitor test is usually performed in instances when a traditional EKG or electrocardiogram has failed to provide enough information about a person's heart condition. A PMD technologist will connect the holter monitor to a patient on-site and will return to retrieve the monitor at the conclusion of the monitoring period. The resulting recording will then be interpreted by a board certified cardiologist.
